I've been using these for several years now, mostly for winter cycling in the northeastern US.
The good:
1. They will keep your feet warm. Not really toasty, but your feet will not be cold, even when temperatures drop well below freezing. The coldest I have used them was 8 degrees F/-13 degrees C. This was at the highest setting in winter mountain biking boots, and my feet were comfortable. Biking in those temperatures would have been absolutely unbearable without them.
